Shadow collects only the minimum data necessary to analyze your behavior patterns:

• Screen Events: Screen on/off times and durations

• App Usage: Which apps are used and for how long (package name and duration only)

• Daily Summaries: Daily screen usage time, screen unlock count, app switch count

• Premium Status: Premium subscription status (stored only on your device)

Data NOT Collected:

• Message contents, emails, contacts

• Passwords, credit card information

• Location data

• Personal identification information

• Photo, video, or file contents

• Local Storage: All data is stored on your device (Hive database)

• Offline Operation: Data is collected and stored without internet connection

• No Servers: Data is never sent to any server

• No Firebase: Firebase or any other cloud service is not used

• No Third-Party Sharing: Your data is not shared with third parties

Collected data is used only for the following purposes:

• Analyzing your behavior patterns

• Providing personalized insights

• Creating daily summaries and reports

• Providing premium features (if you are a subscriber)

Your data is not used for advertising, marketing, or other commercial purposes.

Shadow requires the following permissions to function:

• PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS: To collect app usage statistics (granted manually from Android settings)

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show notifications about new insights

• VIBRATE: For notifications (not used, silent notifications)

• WAKE_LOCK: To collect data in the background

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To continue data collection after device restart

All permissions are granted with user consent and can be revoked at any time.

• In-App Purchase: Premium features are purchased through Google Play Billing or App Store IAP

• Payment Processing: All payment transactions are processed by Google Play or App Store

• Premium Status: Premium status is stored only on your device (secure cache)

• Server Verification: Currently, there is no server-side verification; all verification is done by Google Play/App Store

• Data Sharing: Your payment information is not shared with us

• Encryption: Data is stored encrypted on your device (Hive database)

• Local Access: Data is accessible only on your device

• Backup: Data is not included in Google Drive or iCloud backups

• Deletion: If you delete the app, all data is permanently deleted

Shadow does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Our app complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements.
